"Shiv Kapoor (Abhishek Bachchan) and Pooja (Karisma Kapoor) are looking for a job. They happen to be interviewed the same day in the same company and both are equally qualified for the job. However, Pooja manages to fool Shiv to get the job. Eventually, Shiv also gets job in the same company and soon both fall in love and get married. However, sparks fly after marriage and Pooja comes to know about Shiv's post-marriage one night stand with his college friend Meghna. She asks for a divorce straight away and leaves him. She carries on with life and gets a job as secretary of film star Raj Malhotra (Akshay Kumar). Raj has everything anyone could ask for; money, fame but not love.
